Christopher Adams is a British-American playwright and screenwriter based in the UK. His plays include Cooked (Bread & Roses Theatre, 2015), Antigone (Actors of Dionysus, 2017), and Tumulus (VAULT, 2018). He currently has a television project in development with FilmNation and a film project in development with Hirsch-Giovanni.

Christopher was a member of the Royal Court Theatre’s Young Writers Programme (2011) and Studio Writers Group (2013), the Arcola Theatre’s writing group (2015), and the Orange Tree Collective (2015-2016). His full-length and short plays have been performed in London, Birmingham, Dublin, and Shanghai. His plays Lynchburg (2013) and Haunts (2015) were long-listed for the Bruntwood Prize.

In his academic life, Christopher holds a PhD in mid-twentieth century queer publishing history from the Institute of English Studies, University of London. He is a co-editor of The Collected Works of John Ford: Volumes II & III (OUP). He teaches on the ‘Introduction to the Principles of Descriptive Bibliography’ course at Rare Book School (University of Virginia), and has written on John Ford for the Globe Theatre. He is a U.S. Fulbright Scholar.

Matt Steinberg is the Artistic Director/CEO of Outside Edge Theatre Company.

His recent directing credits include productions at Shoreditch Town Hall (A Very Happy Scrappy Sackler Family Thanksgiving), Soho Theatre (Tumulus), VAULT Festival (Check-in/Check-out; Tumulus), Etcetera Theatre (Din0), New Diorama Theatre (Atlantic Sheep), Iford Arts, Theatre503 (Stand Fast; Saved), Southwark Playhouse (Trout Stanley), East15, London School of Dramatic Art and Identity School of Acting. As an assistant director he worked for Iford Arts, The Lyric Hammersmith’s Secret Theatre, The Royal Court, St. James Theatre and The Canadian Stage Company.

Directing awards include the John Fernald Award for Emerging Directors (Equity Charitable Trust UK), New Generation Artist (Iford Arts) and Origins Award for Outstanding New Work (VAULT Festival).

As an actor he performed leading roles at the Finborough Theatre, The Stratford Festival, numerous theatres across Canada and New York City, in addition to work in feature films, television and commercials.

He trained with Uta Hagen at HB Studio, at The Public Theater/New York Shakespeare Festival’s Shakespeare Lab and Shakespeare’s Globe International Actor’s Fellowship.

Acting awards include the Tyrone Guthrie Award (Stratford Festival of Canada) and the Christopher Plummer Award (Shakespeare’s Globe Centre Canada).
