This month, Outside Edge Theatre Company has been making waves across the airwaves! Our Artistic Director and CEO, Matt, has been sharing the story of our work and the power of theatre to transform lives through two fantastic media appearances.

First up, Matt joined one of our brilliant Peer Volunteers on Hoxton Radio, where they discussed how Outside Edge uses drama to support people affected by addiction. Together, they explored how our creative programmes build confidence, community, and recovery—showing how theatre can offer both self-expression and healing. It was a heartfelt and inspiring conversation that captured the essence of what we do every day.

Matt also appeared on The Pink Podcast, hosted by Chloé Nelkin, for an insightful discussion about Theatre for Social Change. They delved into how the arts can challenge stigma, open dialogue, and offer new ways of understanding the world around us. Matt reflected on Outside Edge’s 25-year journey and the unique role theatre plays in supporting recovery and wellbeing.

Both appearances highlight what makes Outside Edge special: the belief that creativity has the power to change lives. We’re proud to see our work—and the voices of those we support—reaching new audiences.
