Write Two is our intermediate scriptwriting group for writers who are ready to push their craft further and take their writing to the next level.

For participants excited by the challenge of refining their work and exploring new techniques, this 12-week workshop offers the perfect space to dive deeper into playwriting. After at least three months of consistent engagement with our weekly drop-in Write Now groups, eligible participants are invited to join this intermediate group which requires more commitment. 

Throughout the workshop’s sessions, participants develop essential writing skills like structure, dialogue and character creation, all while receiving the guidance and dramaturgical support needed to pen a finished piece of work. Write Two is not just about honing your writing skills, it’s about discovering how storytelling can be a powerful tool for personal growth and recovery.

Write Two is a valuable opportunity for participants to explore new writing techniques, build confidence in their voice and take the next step in their creative journey.

In 2024, this course was led by Olivier Award nominated playwright Isley Lynn and culminated in a table read of the finished pieces read by LAMDA Graduates. 

In 2021-2022, this course was run in partnership with the Royal Court Theatre’s literary department and culminated in a performance by professional actors at the Royal Court of the finished pieces.
