This isn’t dance as you know it. Moving Recovery is all about discovering your own unique movements in a relaxed and informal setting. This group is open to anyone affected by addiction, whether you’re on your own recovery journey or supporting someone affected by addiction. No matter your ability, you’ll find joy in movement and laughter with new friends, all while improving your physical health and supporting your wellbeing.
You don’t need any prior experience of movement or dance to join. Moving Recovery is accessible to everyone, and it offers a chance to reconnect with your body in a fun and supportive way.
Moving Recovery will help you:
Be active – Get your heart beating with gentle exercises that anyone can do.
Build confidence – Rediscover your strength and ability through movement.
Have fun – Laugh, play and connect with others in a relaxed environment.
Explore your body – Unlock your own movements and embrace the joy of physical expression.
Find the joy in movement – Experience the freedom and release that movement brings.
Develop focus and commitment – Strengthen your focus while having fun.
Whether you’re looking to boost your wellbeing or simply want to move your body in a safe and supportive space, Moving Recovery is a perfect way to explore your potential and add some exercise into your weekly routine.
