Our intermediate drama group Edge Two is a fantastic opportunity to take your theatre skills to the next level.

Edge Two is for participants who are becoming more established in their recovery and are ready to deepen their theatre skills. After at least three months of consistent engagement with our weekly drop-in groups, eligible participants are invited to join this intermediate group which requires more commitment.

These sessions offer a chance to explore how drama can be a powerful tool for personal growth and recovery, while also developing an understanding of performance.

Every three months, the group focuses on a specific skill or theme, which is a brilliant opportunity for them to immerse themselves in new acting techniques. Recent modules have included topics like Greek Tragedy, The Michael Chekhov Technique and Fairy Tales, allowing participants to dive into a rich theatrical tradition and hone their abilities.

At the end of each module, there’s an informal sharing of work for friends and family, providing a supportive and encouraging platform for participants to showcase their progress.

Participating in Edge Two, participants not only refine their acting and performance skills, but also gain a deeper appreciation for how drama can support their recovery journey. The group helps to foster personal confidence, enhance communication skills and create a space for ongoing creative and emotional growth.

After attending consistently for at least one year, Edge Two participants are invited to join OETC’s advanced-level acting group, The Company.

OETC’s Abstinence Policy requires all participants to be abstinent on the day of attendance of any of our activities.
