Drop-in Drama is a safe, welcoming space to learn new skills, build confidence and have FUN!
These sessions are a chance to express yourself, try something new and experience the benefits of a creative community. Whether you’re on your own recovery journey, supporting someone affected by addiction or just looking to explore something a bit different, our Drop-in Drama groups are a great place to let go, laugh and improve your wellbeing.
These sessions are all about having fun in a relaxed, non-judgmental environment. You don’t need any prior experience of drama or acting, and it doesn’t matter where you are in your recovery.
These sessions will improve your emotional and mental wellbeing through easy improvisation games, creating scenes and embodying characters, all while you connect with others who get it. You’ll leave feeling more connected, energised and supported.
Our Drop-in Drama workshops are a great way to improve your wellbeing by helping you to:
Build self-confidence – experience personal growth in a safe, supportive space.
Lift your mood – discover the joy of creativity and the power of laughter.
Stay focused and committed – strengthen your mental resilience and build Recovery Capital through playful and engaging activities.
After attending at least one session, Drop-in Drama participants can sign-up to attend OETC’s Social Activities, such as free Theatre Club and Service User Social Events.
OETC’s Abstinence Policy requires all participants to be abstinent on the day of attendance of any of our activities.
The generosity of these supporters and organisations keeps our Drop-in Drama workshops going. Thank you!
